Cheesesteak BLT Ingredients

Method

Cheesesteak BLT Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Add the seasoned ribeye steak to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Onions

While the steak is resting, slice the medium onion into thin rings. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary, and sauté the onions until they are caramelized and soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In another pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  5. 5

    Slice the Tomato

While the steak, onions, and bacon are cooking, slice the large tomato into thin rounds.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on both sides of each sub roll. Layer the bottom of the roll with lettuce, followed by the sliced steak, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and tomato slices. Top with the slices of white American cheese.

  7. 7

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven, close the sandwich, and slice in half. Serve hot and enjoy your Cheesesteak BLT!
