Method

Chill & Prepare

  1. 1

    Chill the bottle

Ensure the Kung Fu Girl Riesling is well chilled to 45–50°F (7–10°C). Refrigerate the bottle at least 2 hours prior to serving, or place in an ice bucket with chilled water and ice for 20–30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare glass and garnish

Select a clean Riesling or white wine glass. If using garnish, thinly slice one lemon or lime wheel and pick a small fresh mint sprig. Chill the glass briefly in the fridge or fill with ice water for 2–3 minutes then discard ice water to slightly lower glass temperature (optional).

Pour & Serve

  1. 3

Hold the wine bottle at the base or by the lower shoulder. Tilt the glass slightly and pour 5 oz (a standard by-the-glass pour) of the chilled Kung Fu Girl Riesling into the glass, filling roughly one-third to one-half full so aromas can develop.

  2. 4

If desired, garnish by placing a lemon or lime wheel on the rim or floating it gently in the wine. Optionally tuck a small mint sprig behind the wheel for aroma — do not muddle or bruise the mint, only use for fragrance.

  3. 5

Present immediately. Recommend tasting temperature is 45–50°F (7–10°C). Advise guests to sip and enjoy the wine’s aromatic notes (stone fruit, citrus, floral) and crisp acidity. If not finished in one sitting, reseal the bottle and refrigerate; consume within 2–3 days for best quality.
