Waffle Batter
Method
Making the Waffles
- 1
Prepare the Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
- 2
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined (the batter may be slightly lumpy, and do not overmix).
- 4
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, typically about 5 minutes.
- 6
Serve the Waffles
Carefully remove the waffles from the waffle iron and serve immediately with fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top.
