Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Trout

Rinse the fresh trout under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Make sure to remove any remaining scales and insides if not already cleaned.

  2. 2

    Season the Trout

Rub the trout inside and out with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the fish, and place the lemon halves inside the trout cavity.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Parsley

Mince the garlic cloves and chop the fresh parsley. Stuff the trout cavity with minced garlic and chopped parsley for added flavor.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Cooking

Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C). If grilling, prepare the grill with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

    Cook the Trout

Place the trout on a grill or in a baking dish. If using the oven, bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. For grilling, cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side.

  6. 6

    Finish with Butter

Melt butter and drizzle it over the trout just before serving for a rich flavor.

  7. 7

    Serve

Garnish with additional parsley and lemon slices. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
