Method

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the jumbo shrimp under cold water and remove the shells and tails, leaving the shrimp clean and ready to cook.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add the shrimp to the marinade and let them sit for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Grilling or Frying

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little olive oil. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  2. 4

    Blackening

If blackening, heat a cast-iron skillet until very hot. Coat the shrimp lightly in additional paprika and sear the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 5

    Prepare Asparagus

Trim the tough ends of the asparagus and steam or boil for about 5-7 minutes until tender yet crisp. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 6

    Cook Baby Potatoes

Boil the baby potatoes in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and toss with butter, salt, and black pepper before serving.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the cooked shrimp alongside the prepared asparagus and baby potatoes. Enjoy your delicious shrimp dinner!
