Method

Crostini Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the French baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  3. 3

    Season the Baguette

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture onto both sides of each baguette slice.

  4. 4

    Bake the Baguette

Place the seasoned baguette slices on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Sausage Topping Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bulk Italian sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Vegetables

Add the finely chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 4-5 minutes.

  3. 7

    Combine with Cheese

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. Remove from heat and set aside.

Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 8

    Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 9

    Whisk Until Smooth

Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 10

    Top the Crostini

Once the baguette slices are baked and crispy, top each slice with the sausage mixture.

  2. 11

    Serve

Serve the sausage crostini hot with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.
