Method
Preparing Fries
- 1
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package, typically around 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle vegetable oil over the fries and toss to coat evenly.
- 3
Bake the fries in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
Assembling the Bowl
- 4
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl or on a serving platter.
- 5
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the hot fries, allowing it to melt slightly.
- 6
Add the cooked bacon bits evenly over the cheesy fries.
- 7
If desired, warm the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot, then pour it over the cheese and bacon-topped fries.
- 8
Serve the loaded fries with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.
