For the Spumoni Wedge

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Layer the Ice Creams

In a loaf pan, layer the chocolate ice cream at the bottom, pressing it down firmly. Add the pistachio ice cream as the second layer and press down again. Finally, add the strawberry ice cream as the top layer.

  2. 2

    Freeze the Wedge

Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

While the ice cream is freezing, chop the sliced almonds and set aside. Drain the maraschino cherries and prepare whipped cream if not using store-bought.

  4. 4

    Serve the Spumoni Wedge

Once the ice cream is firm, remove it from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes. Carefully remove the wedge from the loaf pan and slice it into wedges.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Enjoy

Serve each wedge with a dollop of whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, a sprinkle of chopped almonds, a few maraschino cherries, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
