Burger Patty

Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Mashed Potatoes

Brown Gravy

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Keep warm.

Cheddar Cheese Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to form a roux, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

  2. 5

    Add Milk and Cheese

Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until it thickens. Reduce heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, cover the cubed potatoes with water and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Keep warm.

Brown Gravy

  1. 8

    Prepare the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.

  2. 9

    Add Beef Broth

Slowly whisk in the beef broth, bringing it to a simmer while stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
