Preparing the Burger Patties

Mix and Shape the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it's hot enough for a good sear.

Grill the Patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F for medium-well.

Assemble the Burger
Once the patties are done, place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted brioche bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a few rings of onion, and 2 slices of sweet pickle. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings.

Serve the assembled burgers with a side of potato chips on the plate.
