Method

Preparation of Potatoes

  1. 1

    Clean and Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Potatoes

Rub the cleaned potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle salt and black pepper all over them for flavor.

  3. 3

    Grill the Potatoes

Place the seasoned potatoes directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 45-60 minutes, turning occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and can be easily pierced with a fork.

Stuffing the Potatoes

  1. 4

    Remove from Grill

Once grilled, remove the potatoes from the grill and let them cool for about 5 minutes until they are easy to handle.

  2. 5

    Cut and Scoop

Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a slit down the center of each potato, making sure not to cut all the way through. Use a fork to gently scoop out a bit of the potato flesh to create space for your stuffing.

  3. 6

    Add Stuffing

Choose two of your preferred stuffing options: Alouette cheese spread, cheese sauce, or chili. Spoon the chosen fillings generously into each potato.

  4. 7

    Final Grilling (Optional)

If desired, return the stuffed potatoes to the grill for an additional 5-10 minutes to warm the stuffing and create a slightly crispy top.
