Gather Ingredients
Gather all ingredients needed for the Reuben sandwich, ensuring everything is fresh.

Assembling the Sandwich

Spread Dressing
Spread a generous amount of Thousand Island dressing on one side of each slice of marble rye bread.

Add Corned Beef
Layer 4 oz of corned beef evenly on two slices of the bread, on top of the dressing.

Add Sauerkraut
Top the corned beef with 1 cup of sauerkraut, ensuring it's well-drained to avoid sogginess.

Add Swiss Cheese
Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the sauerkraut.

Complete Sandwiches
Top with the other two slices of marble rye bread, dressing side down, to complete the sandwiches.
Cooking the Sandwich

Butter Sandwiches
Butter the outside of each sandwich lightly to ensure a golden crust when toasted.

Flip and Cook
Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Serving

Remove from Heat
Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwiches from the heat.

Cut each sandwich in half and serve on a plate with a side of potato chips.
