Chicken Gravy
Method
Fries Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into fries, ensuring they are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps in achieving crispiness.
- 3
Dry and Season
Drain the fries and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- 4
Air Fry the Fries
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Gravy Preparation
- 5
- 6
Add the Broth
Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it thicken for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 7
Add Milk and Seasonings
Stir in the milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the gravy is thick and creamy.
- 8
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the gravy and adjust seasoning as necessary, adding more salt and pepper if desired.
