Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a burger patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Cook the Burger

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches medium-well doneness (internal temperature of 160°F).

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place the Swiss cheese slice on top of the burger patty to melt.

Sautéed Toppings

  1. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add the sliced mushrooms and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.

  2. 6

    Add Teriyaki Sauce

Pour the teriyaki sauce over the sautéed mushrooms and onions, stirring to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Bun

Lightly toast the brioche bun on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms and onions, tomato slice, onion ring, and sweet pickle slices.

  3. 9

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve with a side of chips.
