Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling a whiskey glass. You can do this by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mixing Glass

In a separate mixing glass, add 2 oz of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters, and 1 tsp of Simple Syrup.

  3. 3

    Mix the Ingredients

Fill the mixing glass with ice (approximately 1 cup) and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This will chill the bourbon and infuse the bitters and syrup.

  4. 4

    Strain into Glass

Remove the ice from the chilled whiskey glass and strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the whiskey glass.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Take a piece of orange peel and twist it over the drink to release the oils. Drop the peel into the glass as a garnish.
