Preparation

  1. 1

    Prep the Glass

Chill a rocks glass by placing it in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes or by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing glass, add the 6 Year Rye Whiskey, Root Beer Syrup, Orange Bitters, and Chocolate Bitters. Fill with ice cubes.

  3. 3

    Stir the Mixture

Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and combined.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glass

Remove the chilled rocks glass from the freezer or discard the ice water. If desired, rinse the glass with a small amount of rye whiskey and discard.

  5. 5

    Strain the Cocktail

Using a strainer, pour the chilled cocktail mixture into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice cubes.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
