Preparation

    Chill the Glass

    Take an Old Fashioned glass and place it in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

    Combine Ingredients

    In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of Banhez Joven Mezcal, 0.5 oz of agave nectar, 0.5 oz of blood orange syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

    Mix the Cocktail

    Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

    Prepare the Glass

    Remove the Old Fashioned glass from the freezer or discard the ice water. Add 3 ice cubes to the glass.

    Strain the Cocktail

    Using a strainer, pour the chilled mezcal mixture over the ice cubes in the prepared glass.

    Garnish

    Garnish the cocktail with a slice of blood orange on the rim of the glass or placed inside the drink.
