Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shaker

Begin by gathering all ingredients and your cocktail shaker. Ensure your shaker is clean and dry.

  2. 2

    Add Ingredients

To your cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz of Mount Gay Dark Rum, 1 oz of Lustau Amontillado Sherry, 0.5 oz of Black Infusions Apricot Liqueur, 0.5 oz of Simple Syrup, and 0.5 oz of freshly squeezed Lemon Juice.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice, using about 1 cup of ice cubes, to chill the mixture.

  4. 4

    Shake

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

  5. 5

    Add Bitters

After shaking, add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters directly into the shaker. This will enhance the depth of flavor.

  6. 6

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass, ensuring a smooth pour without any ice.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Garnish your drink with a lemon twist. To do this, use a vegetable peeler or knife to slice a thin piece of lemon peel, twist it over the drink to release the oils, and then place it on the rim of the glass.
