Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar
In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone and Vanilla
Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract into the egg yolk mixture until smooth and well combined.

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee for about 1-2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Base
Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x9 inch (or similar sized) dish.

Add Cream Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone cream mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Before serving, sift the cocoa powder evenly over the top of the tiramisu.
