Brewing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan. If you prefer sweet tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar at this stage and stir until it's fully dissolved.
Chilling the Tea

Cool the Tea
Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a pitcher.

Refrigerate
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the tea is cold.
Serving

Prepare Glasses
Fill glasses with ice cubes to the top.

Pour Tea
Pour the chilled tea over the ice in each glass.

Garnish
Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon. Optionally, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice for extra flavor.
