Method
Prepare the Chicken
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breast and coat it well with the marinade. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken breast for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from grill and let it rest before slicing.
Prepare the Croutons
- 3
Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into cubes. In a bowl, mix the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 4
Bake the Croutons
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.
Assemble the Salad
- 5
Prepare the Salad Base
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 6
Add Chicken and Croutons
Slice the grilled chicken and add it on top of the lettuce. Sprinkle the croutons over the salad.
- 7
Dress the Salad
Pour Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients.
- 8
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the pecorino romano cheese on top of the salad before serving.
