Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Broccoli
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Tuna
In a shallow dish, pour the soy sauce. Dip each ahi tuna steak into the soy sauce, ensuring they are well coated. Then, press each side into the sesame seeds to coat evenly.
- 3
Sear the Tuna
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil. Once hot, add the sesame crusted tuna steaks. Sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if you prefer well done.
- 4
Serve
Slice the seared tuna and serve it alongside the roasted broccoli. Drizzle with ginger aioli (made separately) to enhance the flavor.
