Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Boil them in salted water for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sear the Filet Mignon

Season the Angus filet mignon with salt and black pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the filet mignon for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness.

  3. 3

    Make Garlic Butter

In the same skillet after removing the steak, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic. Cook until the garlic is fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Brussels Sprouts

Add the boiled Brussels sprouts to the skillet with the garlic butter. Sauté for another 5 minutes until they are slightly caramelized.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the filet mignon and drizzle with natural jus. Serve with the sautéed Brussels sprouts on the side.
