Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation of the Steak

Remove the tomahawk steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30-60 minutes before cooking. This will help it cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil on both sides. Generously season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring an even coating.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450-500°F (232-260°C). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Grilling the Steak

Place the steak on the grill and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.

  5. 5

    Adding Flavor

During the last few minutes of grilling, add the butter and fresh rosemary sprigs on top of the steak. Baste the steak with the melted butter for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Resting the Steak

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Slicing and Serving

Slice against the grain and serve the tomahawk steak with your favorite sides.
