Prepare the Calamari
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the calamari rings in the mixture until fully coated.

Heat the Oil
In a large, deep pot or fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to maintain the temperature.

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the coated calamari to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Peppers
Slice the cherry peppers and set aside for garnish.

Serve
Plate the fried calamari and garnish with sliced cherry peppers. Serve with jalapeño aioli and Sunday sauce on the side.
