Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Pork

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for about 6-8 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C) and is tender enough to pull apart.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Slaw

While the pork is smoking, prepare the tangy slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, carrots, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Let it sit to combine the flavors.

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is done cooking, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then, shred the pork using two forks.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Toast the sweet rolls lightly with butter. Layer pulled pork on the bottom half, top with BBQ sauce, and finish with a generous scoop of tangy slaw. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.
