Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pappardelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- 2
Sauté the Mushrooms
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained pappardelle pasta to the skillet with the mushrooms. Pour in the reserved pasta water as needed to help create a sauce. Stir to combine.
- 4
Add Cheese and Season
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until the cheese is melted and the pasta is well coated.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately while hot.
