Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Sauce Américaine

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and shallots, sauté until translucent. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Deglaze and Add Ingredients

Pour in the white wine and simmer until reduced by half. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in cooked lobster meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until heated through.

Herbed Bread Crumbs Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Bread Crumbs

In a bowl, mix bread crumbs with chopped parsley, basil, garlic powder, and olive oil until well combined.

  2. 5

    Toast the Bread Crumbs

Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and toast in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Assembly and Serving

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked linguine with the sauce until well coated. Serve topped with herbed bread crumbs, a dollop of trout roe, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
