Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer or fill with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail (about 5 minutes).

2

Add ingredients to shaker

Add 2 oz dry gin, 1 oz Lillet Blanc, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz Maraschino liqueur, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and dry shake (optional)

Add a generous scoop of ice (about 1 cup). Optionally, do a quick 5–8 second dry shake without ice first to emulsify the citrus, then add ice. This step enhances texture but is optional.

4

Shake

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.

5

Double strain

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe using both the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and small bits of citrus or herb.

Garnish & Serve

6

Express lemon twist

Hold a lemon twist over the drink and quickly squeeze it to express the oils across the surface, then rim the glass with the peel and drop it into the cocktail.

7

Add rosemary (optional)

If using, gently slap the rosemary sprig between your palms to release aromatics and rest it on the rim or float it atop the cocktail for an herbal note.

8

Serve immediately while cold. The Roman Charm is a balanced, slightly floral and herbaceous cocktail — enjoy.
