Chilaquiles Ingredients
Method
Chilaquiles Directions
- 1
Prepare the Duck Egg
In a small saucepan, bring water to a gentle boil. Carefully add the duck egg and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 6-8 minutes for a soft-boiled egg. Remove and place in cold water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, peel and set aside.
- 2
Heat the Pork Carnitas
In a skillet over medium heat, add the pork carnitas. Stir occasionally until heated through, about 5-7 minutes. Once hot, remove from heat and set aside.
- 3
Prepare the Chips
In a large bowl, place the fresh corn tortilla chips. Drizzle the salsa verde over the chips and gently toss until well coated.
- 4
Assemble the Chilaquiles
On a serving plate, layer the salsa-coated tortilla chips. Top with heated pork carnitas, queso fresco, pico de gallo salsa, and Chihuahua cheese.
- 5
Add the Toppings
Slice the avocado and arrange it on top of the chilaquiles. Add pickled radish for crunch.
- 6
Finish with the Duck Egg
Cut the soft-boiled duck egg in half and place it on top of the chilaquiles. Drizzle with chipotle crema for added flavor.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately while warm, garnished with additional salsa verde or crema if desired.
