Fries
Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into long strips to form fries.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries into a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Preheat the Oil
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the soaked fries to the hot oil in batches, frying each batch for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt and paprika to taste.
Grilling the Steak
- 6
- 7
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F or 230°C to 260°C).
- 8
Grill the Steak
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust based on your preferred doneness.
- 9
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
