1. Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. Add olive oil, salt, and gradually mix in flour until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
2. Prepare the Grill
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a pizza stone, place it on the grill to heat up.
3. Shape the Pizza
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 2-4 equal portions, depending on desired pizza size. Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
4. Assemble the Pizza
Transfer the rolled dough onto a lightly floured pizza peel or a piece of parchment paper. Spread a layer of tomato sauce on top, followed by mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings.
5. Grill the Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated grill or pizza stone. Close the lid and grill for about 5-7 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
6. Serve
Once cooked, remove the pizza from the grill. Drizzle with olive oil and add fresh basil leaves. Slice and serve hot.
