Method
Preparing the Ladyfingers
- 1
Soak the Ladyfingers
In a shallow dish, combine the espresso and Marsala wine. Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of your serving dish.
Making the Mascarpone Filling
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy cream and whip it using an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In another bowl, mix together the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream until well combined, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
Assembling the Tiramisu
- 4
Layering
Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers in the dish. Repeat the process with the remaining soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone filling.
- 5
Chilling
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Finishing Touch
- 6
Dust with Cocoa Powder
Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine sieve for an even layer.
