Prepare Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Set Up Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs.

Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in beaten eggs, then coat in bread crumbs.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Add Tomatoes and Season
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes until slightly thickened.

Finish with Basil
Stir in torn fresh basil leaves and remove from heat.
Assembly

Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread a layer of pomodoro sauce. Place the fried chicken on top and cover with more sauce.

Add the Cheeses
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
