Preparing the Salad

Wash and Prepare the Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

Grate the Parmesan Cheese
Using a cheese grater, grate the fresh parmesan cheese until you have about 0.5 cup. Set aside for topping the salad.
Making the Dressing

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine 0.5 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

Season the Dressing
Add 0.5 teaspoon of salt and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper to the mixture. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.

Taste and Adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to suit your preference.
Assembling the Salad

Toss the Salad
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and prepared Caesar dressing. Toss gently until all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
