Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Sauté the Mushrooms
Clean the button mushrooms and slice them. If using dried porcini mushrooms, rehydrate them in warm water for about 20 minutes, then chop. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Top the Crostini
Place a slice of fresh mozzarella on each toasted baguette slice. Spoon the sautéed mushroom mixture generously on top of the mozzarella.

Serve
Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve immediately with any remaining sautéed mushrooms on the side.
