Method

Sausage Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Sausage Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, fennel seeds, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Sausages

Shape the sausage mixture into small patties or links, about 2 inches in diameter. Set aside while you prepare the cream sauce.

Cream Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Sausages

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sausage patties. Cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Bell Peppers

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced red bell peppers and cook until they are soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Cream Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 6

    Combine and Serve

Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, stirring to coat with the cream sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot over pasta or with crusty bread.
