Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Set up a breading station by placing flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese in three separate shallow dishes. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet.
- 3
Bake the Chicken
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- 4
Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is baking, cook the gemelli pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 5
Assemble the Tower
Remove the chicken from the oven. In a baking dish, layer marinara sauce, a piece of chicken, mozzarella, provolone, and repeat until all ingredients are used. Top with remaining marinara sauce and cheeses.
- 6
Final Bake
Return the assembled tower to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7
Serve
Serve the chicken parmesan tower over a bed of gemelli pasta topped with Alfredo sauce.
