Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Ensure they are fresh and vibrant green in color.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  3. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot. Cover the pot with a lid and steam the edamame for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and bright green.

  4. 4

    Drain and Season

After steaming, carefully drain the edamame in a colander. While still warm, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sea salt over the edamame and toss gently to coat.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the seasoned edamame to a serving bowl. Enjoy warm as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. The pods can be opened to eat the beans inside.
