Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, add the marinated shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

  3. 3

    Add the Wine and Herbs

Pour in the white wine and add the red pepper flakes and chopped parsley. Stir and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the alcohol evaporates and the sauce thickens slightly.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 4

    Prepare the Sourdough Bread

Brush both sides of the sourdough bread slices with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

  2. 5

    Toast the Bread

In a skillet or grill pan over medium heat, add the oiled sourdough slices. Toast for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
