Method
Base Slushie
Choose your wine
Decide whether you want a red slushie, a white slushie, or a mixed version. For a single serving: use 1 cup of the chosen wine. For a mix, use 1/2 cup red + 1/2 cup white (or 1 cup total as preferred). The ingredient list provides both single-wine and mix options.
Combine ingredients
In a blender add the wine (1 cup single or 1 cup combined), 3 cups of ice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup, and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. The lemon brightens the flavor and simple syrup balances the wine's acidity.
Blend to slush
Start the blender on low for 5–10 seconds to break up large ice, then increase to high and blend until you reach a smooth, slushy consistency, about 20–40 seconds total depending on blender strength. Pause and stir or tap the blender if large chunks remain and blend again briefly.
Adjust sweetness & texture
Taste a small spoonful. If it's too tart, add up to 1 tablespoon more simple syrup and blend briefly. If too thin, add 1/2 cup more ice and pulse until incorporated. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons wine and pulse to loosen.
Portion
Spoon or pour the slushie into a chilled 12–16 oz glass, leaving about 1/2 to 1 inch headspace for the optional floater.
Optional Floaters
Select a floater
Choose one floater from St-Germain, Grand Marnier, Deep Eddy Peach, Huckleberry vodka, or tequila. The ingredient amounts are 0.5 oz per cocktail as a suggested add-on (menu price note: $4 floater; $8 on Slushie Sunday for tequila).
Float method
Using the back of a spoon held just above the slushie surface, slowly pour the 0.5 oz floater so it rests on top of the slushie rather than mixing in. If you prefer a stirred-in stronger drink, pour the floater directly and gently stir once with a straw.
Garnish & Serve
Recommend serving immediately while slushy. If preparing multiple servings, keep blender chilled and serve one at a time for best texture.
