Method

Citrus-berry Base

1

Prepare juices and puree

If using whole blueberries, place 1 tablespoon blueberries in a small bowl, add 1 teaspoon simple syrup and muddle gently until broken down. Alternatively, use 1 tablespoon store-bought blueberry puree. Strain only if you want a very smooth drink.

2

In a pitcher, combine 1 cup fresh orange juice, 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, the blueberry puree or muddled berries, and 1 tablespoon simple syrup. Stir vigorously until the syrup is fully incorporated and the mixture is homogenous.

Sparkle & Aromatics

3

Add 3 cups chilled sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher. Stir gently with a long spoon to preserve carbonation.

4

Add 2 teaspoons non-alcoholic orange bitters or a few drops of orange essence and stir once. Taste and adjust sweetness with up to 1 extra teaspoon simple syrup or adjust acidity with a splash more lime juice if desired.

5

Lightly clap the 8 mint leaves between your palms to release aroma, then add them to the pitcher. Stir once to distribute the aroma without bruising the leaves excessively.

Assemble & Garnish

6

Divide about 3/4 cup ice cubes among 4 serving glasses.

7

Pour the mocktail mixture evenly into the prepared glasses (about 10–11 ounces per glass), leaving the top inch for garnish.

8

Garnish each glass with an orange wheel on the rim, a lime wedge, and 3 fresh blueberries floated on top. Optionally tuck a mint sprig in each glass for aroma.

9

Serve immediately with a stirring straw. If making ahead, keep the citrus-berry base chilled and add sparkling water and ice just before serving to maintain fizz.
