Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass (optional)

If desired, place your serving glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

Combine ingredients

Add 2 oz Ketel One vodka, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add a generous handful of ice (approximately 1 cup).

3

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is frosty on the outside and well chilled.

4

Strain

Discard ice or water from the chilled serving glass if you used it. Using a strainer, double-strain the contents into a rocks or coupe glass over fresh ice if you prefer it on the rocks, or neat into the chilled coupe glass.

5

Optional soda top

If you prefer a longer, lighter drink, pour the shaken mixture into a highball glass over fresh ice and top with 1.5 oz club soda. Gently stir once to combine.

6

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim or floated on top.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while cold.

Use a jigger to measure spirits and juices precisely. Use the cocktail shaker and strainer to combine and chill the drink. Use the chilled glass appropriate to your chosen presentation (coupe or rocks for the neat/short version, highball for the soda version).
