Method

Wine Making Process

  1. 1

    Crushing the Grapes

Begin by crushing the Tempranillo grapes to release their juice. You can use a grape crusher or do this by hand in a clean bowl.

  2. 2

    Fermentation

Transfer the crushed grapes and juice to a fermentation vessel. Add the yeast and sugar, then mix well. Cover the vessel with a clean cloth and let it ferment for 7-14 days at a controlled temperature of around 20°C (68°F).

  3. 3

    Pressing

Once fermentation is complete, press the mixture to separate the liquid from the solids. This can be done using a wine press or a fine mesh strainer.

  4. 4

    Aging

Transfer the wine into a clean barrel or aging vessel. Add the oak chips to impart flavor. Allow the wine to age for at least 6 months, tasting periodically to check the flavor development.

  5. 5

    Bottling

Once aged to your liking, filter the wine to remove any sediment and transfer it into clean bottles. Seal with corks and store in a cool, dark place.
