Prepare the Ingredients
Wash and slice the tomato and onion. Prepare the lettuce leaves.

Cook the Beef Patties
Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the dry aged beef patties with salt and pepper. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer a lettuce leaf, a cooked beef patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, a few rings of onion, and a drizzle of 540 sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the diner burgers immediately with your choice of sides.
