Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
Stir in both granulated and brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce.
