Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together the yellow mustard, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a rub. Apply this rub generously all over the pork shoulder.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour half of the Kansas City BBQ sauce over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining BBQ sauce.
- 4
Assemble the Sliders
Slice the brioche buns in half and toast them if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a generous portion of the pulled pork, top with dill pickles, and then cover with the top half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the sliders warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
