Prepare the Glass
Start by rimming your glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice or neat, depending on your preference. Garnish with a lime wedge.
