Churro Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Churro Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat to 375°F (190°C).

  4. 4

    Pipe the Churros

Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 6-inch long strips of dough into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Churros

Fry the churros until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

In a bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Roll the hot churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

  7. 7

    Fill with Caramel

Using a piping bag fitted with a small round tip, fill each churro with caramel sauce. Serve immediately.
