Cooking Instructions

1

Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the noodles.

2

Prepare the Bacon and Mushrooms

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan. Add chopped mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the mushrooms are tender.

3

Mix the Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

4

Combine Everything

Add the drained linguine to the skillet with mushrooms. Remove the skillet from heat and quickly pour the egg mixture over the pasta, stirring vigorously to create a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

5

Finish and Serve

Crumble the cooked bacon over the pasta and mix well. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese and black pepper on top.
